厦门旅行游记作文英文(A Memorable Trip to Xiamen)

A Memorable Trip to Xiamen

As soon as I landed in Xiamen, I could feel the warmth of the sun on my skin. The city seemed alive with vibrant colors and an inviting atmosphere. Excited to explore, I set off on foot to discover the beauty of Xiamen.

Exploring Xiamen’s Natural Wonders

My first stop was to visit the famous Gulangyu Island, a car-free island known for its charming architecture and historical landmarks. The island was bustling with tourists, but the streets still had a serene atmosphere. Walking through the narrow alleys was like stepping back in time, with rows of historical villas and picturesque gardens scattered throughout the area.

Next, I visited Xiamen Botanical Garden, a sprawling park with more than 6,000 different kinds of plants. The park was peaceful and serene, with the sound of running water and birds chirping in the background. I enjoyed taking a leisurely walk on the intricate pathways, surrounded by an array of beautiful flowers and blossoming trees.

A Taste of Xiamen’s Culture

Xiamen has a unique culinary culture which draws influences from mainland China, Taiwan, and Southeast Asia. I visited Zhongshan Road, the city’s famous food street, to sample some of the delicious local cuisine. From the traditional oyster omelets to the famous Xiamen noodles, everything was fresh, delicious, and reasonably priced.

Not only did I enjoy the food, but I also learned about the famous tea culture of Xiamen. The city has a wide range of options when it comes to tea houses, from modern to traditional. I visited a traditional tea house and enjoyed sipping on various aromatic teas while listening to the soothing sounds of the guzheng.

Uncovering Xiamen’s Hidden Gems

During my last day in Xiamen, I wanted to explore some of the lesser-known spots. I stumbled upon Zeng Cuo An Village, a quiet and laid-back area by the sea. The village had a quaint charm, with shabby chic buildings and hip cafes dotting the streets. I spent my time drinking coffee and admiring the beautiful street art.

My final stop was to visit Jimei School Village, a small village with a historical and cultural significance for Xiamen. The village is home to the famous Jimei University, founded by the philanthropist Tan Kah Kee. The university has a beautiful campus with a unique blend of traditional and modern architecture.

As my trip came to an end, I realized that Xiamen has much more to offer than meets the eye. The little moments of exploring the colorful streets, trying new foods, and learning about the local culture made it a memorable trip I’ll never forget.
